As Camille and I have served in Youth with a Mission over the past years, God has revealed passions in our lives, but the overarching goal, our calling, is:

to be disciples of Jesus who create

Our Context

Our passions give us a context to make disciples in. Right now (as of May 2015) we are in a process of redefining the context, but Calvin is drawn toward media and communication and Camille toward personal life coaching.

The way you discover your gifts is really by serving not by searching.Loren Cunningham

What does it mean make disciples?

“Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do what I tell you? Everyone who comes to me and hears my words and does them, I will show you what he is like: he is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when a flood arose, the stream broke against that house and could not shake it, because it had been well built. But the one who hears and does not do them is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. When the stream broke against it, immediately it fell, and the ruin of that house was great.” Luke 6:46-49 ESV

We want people to learn to obey the teachings of Jesus in the Bible. Making disciples means helping people get on the path of Jesus, the path of abundant life and the original way that we were created to walk.

Our Strategy: Invite

We are learning that Jesus was the best “inviter” of people. He constantly invited people into deeper walks with Him and through that showed him his ways. In the same manner, we invite people to meals with us and into relationship. As we grow in relationship we also introduce people into this way we live, the way of Jesus. Whether someone has been a part of church for 20 years or have never been, we want to help them wherever they are at to follow Jesus and his teachings.
